Mrs. Beryl Richards, a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, in Chatham, at the age of 93.
Beryl was born in Oshawa and was a daughter of the late Bert and Zylpha Johnstone.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Richards (2021).
Dear mother of Laura Lynn (the late Stephen) Howell, Heather (Tim) Reid and the late Bonnie Richards (1979). Dear grandmother of Brandon and Alyssa.
Kind sister of Sandra (the late David) Domanski. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Also missed by her special furry companion Buttons.
The late Beryl Richards rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following her wishes, cremation will take place.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Pet Animal Wildlife Rescue may be left at the funeral home.

Beryl grew up on University Ave., in Wallaceburg. She was a very intelligent lady who had various, interesting jobs. Her first job was Merwin’s department store where she met my Dad. As an adult, she landed a secreterial job with a law firm. Eventually, with marriage and a new baby girl, they built their first house on University, then moved to Elizabeth Street where she was able to be more involved with the church. She was always involved doing Rotary, Sunday School teaching and so much more. In her 40’s, she went back to college and became a Certified General Accountant. She left her job at Canadian Tire after 25 years of service. Following this, she did work from home and worked for 26 years doing income tax and accounting, then retired to relax and enjoy life. We were inseparable. She was my mother, my chit chat person and my best friend. When I had to go home to Chatham, she, at 93, had an iPhone and could text me she was ok. I miss her texts …. she also had an iPad to entertain her days. We miss you terribly Mummy. Buttons misses you and your daughters miss you with all their hearts. I sure will miss our car rides and long talks.
