Bertha Noseworthy (Ryan)
January 28th, 1939-June 8th, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a very special and dear person to all that knew her, Bertha Marie (Ryan) Noseworthy age 85 years, formally of Riverhead, St. Mary’s Bay. Bertha faced her battle with cancer with courage, faith, grit and determination. Predeceased by her husband Jim Noseworthy, her parents: Thomas and Madeline Ryan: 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories special niece Sharon Kennedy (Clayton). Sharon was the daughter she never had. Bertha also leaves behind companion and friend Andrew Dawe and his daughter Maxine who were also her special caregivers. Bertha is survived by a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, too numerous to mention but she loved each and every one of them. Leaving with wonderful memories and friendship; sisters-in-law Barbara Butt and Bonnie Butler. Special friends Sarah Porter and Gladys Dollimont. A special thanks to Rod Strait for his monthly visits and giving her B12 shots. Many thanks to Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at HSC Cancer Clinic, L.A Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit, Community Health Care Nurses and Team for their continuous care and support. Many thanks to Father Fleming for his monthly home visits and spiritual guidance. Visitation will take place at Hickey’s Funeral Home 570 Conception Bay South on Monday, June 10th, 2024 from 3-7PM and Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 from 12-3PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Thomas of Villa Nova Church on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at 10AM, followed by internment at Topsail R.C Cemetery. In Bertha’s memory flowers are greatly accepted or donations can be made to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
