On Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at The John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee, Albert John Kea passed away peacefully at the age of 81. Dear father of Angela Harris (Mark) of London and Jason Kea (Nancy Crump) of Ottawa. Grandfather to Cassandra Harris (Jacob Thompson) and Jared Harris (Rachel Staton); Julia Kea and Alison Kea. Also survived by siblings Lisa, Lee, John, Aggie, and Nellie and predeceased by siblings Henry, Bep, Margaret, Jerry, Gord, Agnes, Ed and Tina. Will be fondly remembered by 53 nieces and nephews. Bert was a member of the O.P.P. in Coboconk, Picton and Napanee, and formerly the leader of the O.P.P. Tactics and Rescue Unit (Tru Team) and retired as Staff Sergeant at the Napanee O.P.P. Detachment. An avid golfer and long time instructor at the Napanee and Amherstview Golf Courses, Bert will be remembered as responsible for many good golf swings in Greater Napanee Area. He also was the coach of the Queen’s University golf team for 18 years helping to guide them to many strong finishes. A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Amherstview Golf Club, 477 Golf Road, Amherstview, on Saturday, October 21 at 3:00 PM, with Golf and Holes starting at 12 Noon.
