Obituary
NEWELL, Berneice Elizabeth – 90, of Centreville; On April 13, 2023, Berneice Elizabeth Newell passed from this life into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Born in Centreville, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Ena (Newell) Smith. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her children, Leigh (Sarojanie) Quinlan, Dean Quinlan, Althea (Larry) Nickerson, Premie (George) Nickerson, Aaron (Cindy) Quinlan, Lynn (David) Ensor; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Bruce; grandson, Matthew; great-granddaughter, Joni; as well as brothers, Edgar, Harold, and twin brother, Bernard; sisters, Augusta, and Ellen. She was the last remaining member of her family. She was a member of the Faith Christian Church. She greatly enjoyed family visits in her home. Her 27 years of working the CSI cafeteria was reflected at home by her love of cooking for all. The family would like to take this time to give a special ‘thank you’ to Yarmouth Regional and Roseway Hospitals, VON/homecare, private homecare providers, as well as the ambulance attendants for their compassion and excellent care. There will be a visitation held Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington. A funeral service will take place, Thursday, April 20, at the Faith Christian Church, Centreville, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. Interment to follow in the Centreville Cemetery.
