Beatrice Blanche Mae «Bea» Gorringe
1931-2024
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved
wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Beatrice Blanche Mae
«Bea» Gorringe, born May 28, 1931, in Auburn,
NS.
Bea is survived by her husband, Ernest (of 59 years); her
son, Gary (Angela); her grandsons, Ryan (Rachel), Nathan (Kennedy),
Ben (Emily), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bea was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela; her siblings,
Dorothy («Dot»), Donald (Phyllis), Herald (Marion) and
parents, Frank Lee & Nina Saunders.
As a young woman, Bea graduated from the Normal College in
Truro, NS, where she began her 15-year career in teaching. She
absolutely loved being a teacher and taught in places such as Halls
Harbour, NS, British Columbia, CFB Greenwood, and a military base in
France.
During her time off in France, Bea would travel all
throughout Europe, Isreal and Egypt.
After having children, Bea thoroughly enjoyed being a
stay-at-home mom and had a natural talent for gardening, cooking and
sewing.
Beatrice was dearly known by many for her unwavering kindness
and selflessness. Her final wishes were simply for «Everyone to
be kind to one another».
In keeping with Bea’s wishes, there will be no funeral
service. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made
to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online
condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
