We are all heart broken and mourn the passing of Barbara Smith on June 20, 2024.
Barbara was a wonderfully caring mother to David (Kathy) Lesley (John) Janice and Jonathan (Sarah).
At the age of 90 her grandchildren were in awe of her energy, young spirit and enthusiasm for life. She will be greatly missed by Jennifer, Amanda (Stephen) Kyle, Jamie, Nathan,Tina (Tyler) Megan,Tamara and Brendon (deceased) as well as her great grandchildren Jordyn, Austin, Alexis and Broncs.
She has now joined her loving husband, Brian, in heaven who passed away 7 months ago. They were married for 68 years and shared lots of wonderful happy memories together.
She was a great friend to every one who knew her. Her social calendar was always full with breakfast, lunch and dinner dates as well as group events and travel destinations. She was a long-standing member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and helped to plan and organize many events and to raise funds to help others locally and around the world.
The family wishes to thank the Waterloo Regional Police, the North Dumfries Fire Department and the Emergency Doctors and Nursing staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for all their tireless work and kindness.
Donations can be made in Barbara’s memory to St. Thomas the Apostle, Anglican Church, Cambridge
