ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Barbara Ann Milliea 78, of
Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home in
Rexton on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Born in Maine, she was
the daughter of the late John Peters and the late Barbara (Simon)
Peters. Barbara loved to play bingo in her spare
time. She was a community volunteer; collecting tickets for
hockey games and helping at baby showers for over 50 years.
She was always so helpful while taking care of the phones at the main
desk at Social Development. She was so loving and caring and
will be missed by all that knew her.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Jennifer
Sanipass (George), Rita Milliea (Byron) both of Elsipogtog; four sons,
Allen Milliea (Tina) of Kent Lake, Adam Milliea, James Roberts (Kim),
Wade Francis (Alicia) all of Elsipogtog; several grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Jane Peters, Lucy
Milliea (late Joe), Elizabeth Levi all of Elsipogtog and many nieces
and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Arnold Milliea; one daughter, Juanita; one son, Sonty; three sisters,
Mary Bella, Marjorie, Stella and four brothers, Frank, Lawrence,
Andrew and Bouncer.
Visitation will begin on Saturday at 10:00 am until time of
the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday,
August 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic
Church in Elsipogtog.
