Obituary
Hazelton, Audrey… After a long and beautiful life, the family of Audrey Hazelton (LaMorre) announce her passing on June 25, 2023. She was so proud to be 98 years old. She remained in her own home and passed peacefully with her family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lynn, Janet, Ron (Sharon), Kevin (Eileen) and Anne-Marie. She was a cherished Grandmother to Steven, Craig, Angela, Michelle, Amie, Andrew, Jennifer and Matthew as well as a proud Great Grandmother to 11 Great Grandchildren. She was a sister to Shirley and Sharon. She will be missed by other family members and many friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Jack Hazelton, her son-in-laws, David and Yvon, and her granddaughter Trisha. Her parents, Louis and Clara and brother, Robert also predeceased her.
Audrey resided in Trenton for most of her life and loved talking about her childhood, helping with her family store, LaMorre’s Grocery. She worked at Bell Canada, Bata Engineering, Zellers and Dominion Grocery Store and always had a funny story to share about her life experiences.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Mount Calvary Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband and surrounded by family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Hospice Quinte.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the PSW’s and home care nurses who helped to support her wish to stay in her home.
