91 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Beloved husband of Audrey Visser-Bisschop (nee VanderZwan). Dear father of Art and Lynn Bisschop, Gerry and Angela Bisschop, Betty and Harry Verburg, Aileen and Chris Boersma, Wayne and Tina Bisschop, and Keith and Vanessa Bisschop. Arthur is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Stepfather of Margaret and Mike Prisner, Douglas and Connie Visser, Angela and Ken Moesker, and predeceased by Kenneth Visser. Also survived by 21 step grandchildren and 38 step great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Harm Bisschop, Ralph Bisschop, John Bisschop and Henry Bisschop. Survived by brothers and sisters Tim Bisschop, Hilbert Bisschop, Albert Bisschop, Bill Bisschop, Henny Schoon, Nancy Vandermeer, Jessie Timmerman, and Glenda King. Visitation to be held at Kendrick Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., Chatham on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Arthur’s life to be held at Grace Christian Reformed Church, (255 Tweedsmiur Ave. West, Chatham) at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023.
