Annie Georgina (Crowley)(Shaw) Barlow
1943-2024
On July
13th, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. Annie went home to be with her Lord and
Savior!! Annie was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald C. Shaw
and second husband, James Barlow. She was also predeceased by her
parents, Gordon and Martha Crowley, brother Lyman, in infancy, sister,
Margaret and brother, William.
Annie is
survived by her daughter, Leighanna Shaw (Ray), Cambridge; son, Gerald
C. Shaw Jr. (Pamela), Grande Prairie, AB; grandchildren, Jesse
(Jessica), Christopher, Sarah (Ryan), Nicholas (Sara), and Bradley
(Stephanie); She was very fond of her great-grandchildren, Kaiden,
Madison, Jagger, Jemma, Adian and
Rachael.
She is
also survived by her siblings: sister, Joan Grosskopf (Juergen),
Ontario; brother, Wilson Crowley (Doris), NFLD; sister, Mildred
MacDonald (Brad), New Glasgow; and brother, Carl Crowley (Maud), NFLD;
brother-in-law, Jason Shaw; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Shaw, Lorna Morine,
Beverly Butterworth and Marilyn Porter; and her special friend,
Dorothy Huntley, who was with her and Leighanna until the very end; as
well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, with
special mention to her nieces, Cheryl and Cheryl who went the extra
mile in her final days.
Annie
was a colourful soul. She, along with her first husband, Gerry, were
on the road for 14 years as Evangelists, preaching and singing
God’s word in both Canada and the U.S.A. They produced 10
albums in Nashville, Tennessee with the very first one being backed up
by Reba McEntire’s band. Later in their ministry they wrote
a book about their adventure titled «The Miracle
Road». Annie’s first reason to be «was to
tell everyone about her JESUS and how they could know him
too».

Annie’s family would like to
extend their sincere thanks of appreciation to the doctors, nurses and
volunteers of Valley Hospice for their exceptional care and
compassion.
There
will be no visitation by request. A Celebration of Annie’s
life, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday,
July 19, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Pastor
Terry Penney officiating. For those unable to attend, a livestream of
the service will be available. Interment will take place in Pine Grove
Cemetery, Middleton. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley
Hospice Foundation, where Annie spent her final days. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
