Obituary
It is with great sadness that we the family of Annie Jean Beaumont, 83 of Oxford N.S. announces her passing at the home of her son, Micah Beaumont in Bridgewater N.S, on March 1, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in South Victoria, N.S., Annie was the daughter of the late Ottie and Leaona (Jollymore) Stewart. Annie was married to the Late Ronald Arthur Beaumont and resided in Oxford most of her life where she spent countless hours in the blueberry fields and worked for Oxford Frozen Foods…. BUT didn’t like blueberries. Annie was a devoted wife and mother and her grandchildren brought her great joy. Annie leaves behind to mourn her loss, her son, Micah Beaumont (Val) Bridgewater N.S.; daughters, Laura (John) McFadden, Truro, N.S.; Robin McClary (Phil Melanson), Riverview N.B.; Rose Dyer, Prince George B.C.; Kelly Beaumont, Prince George B.C,; Rhonda Beaumont, Oxford N.S.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Sheila Stiles and Agnes (Curry) Purdy; brother, Hilton (Louise) Stewart; several nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Beaumont; brothers, James, Guy and Aubrey; sisters, Doris Perrin and Alice Mayne. Mom loved to do jigsaw puzzles and probably did one a week. She loved to knit and if you were one of the lucky ones, she would gift you a pair of her hand knit socks!!! She also loved her flowers and solar lights. A Celebration of Annie’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford. In honor of mom’s passing donations can be made to the Food Bank or a Charity of your choice. We would like to Thank Dr. Dean Harrison and the Cumberland Regional Health Care, Amherst. Dr. Kaldaria and the Palative Care Team – Bridgewater, Continuing Care, VON, Home Support and Loving Care Home Assistance – Jody Waterman and Wendy Dodge for your excellent care, compassion and love for Mom. EHS for mom’s safe transport from Amherst to Bridgewater. We are Forever Grateful.
