Elizabeth Anne Tanner
Anne (nee Halliday) Tanner passed away suddenly on October 17, 2023 at the age of 82. Anne was born April 3, 1941 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She was the beloved daughter of Rolf and Amy Halliday and dear sister of Kathleen Margaret States. Anne married William Thomas Tanner June 1965. She was the beloved mother of Sheila (Erin) Tanner and loving aunt of Gordon States. She was very involved in many organizations such as the Dickens Fellowship, United Empire Loyalists etc. She worked for the Royal Bank for 38 years. Sheila and Gordon were her priorities along with being a pet granny to Daisy.
Funeral service will be held at St. Clements Church, 70 St. Clements Ave, Toronto on Wednesday, October 25 from 11:30-12:30 pm. with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Private interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Toronto. The reception will follow at The Abbot (Abbot pub and Fare), 3367 Yonge Street, Toronto from 1:00-3:30 pm. Donations in her memory maybe made to Diabetes Canada, Covenant House or St. Clements Church.
A tree will be planted in memory of Elizabeth in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
