GALLANT; Anne Louise (née Metrow)
Passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the age of 62. Anne will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 39 years, Gord Gallant and their children, Alec Gallant (Sasha) and Ethan Gallant (Emily). Beloved daughter of Marnie (née Wilson) and the late Stephen Metrow. Dear sister of Jim Metrow (Melanie) of Cavan, and Katherine (Ralf Borowski) of Gibsons, British Columbia.
Anne was a dedicated public servant through her working career at the District Health Council, and at the Peterborough City County Health Unit before her illness occurred, concentrating on youth and activity. Her fierce creative spirit found avenues in watercolour painting, quilting, hand spinning, knitting, and weaving. Anne will be remembered by her extended family and friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday February 10th, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Ashburnham Funeral Home – 840 Armour Road, Peterborough. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Peterborough would be greatly appreciated.
