It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 57. Beloved wife of 39 years to Wayne Prud’Homme. Dear fur mom to many fur babies. Loving sister to Pietro Bazzara. Cherished godmother to Ava Marie Bazzara and Aliyah Angela Bazzara. Sister-in-law to Lynne (Late Bill), Rick (Dee), Barbara (Grant), Glenn, Greg (Jocelyne) and Donna. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Peter Bazzara and Susie Brown.
Anna was a wonderful woman inside and out. She had a passion for gardening and cooking. After losing her mother at a young age, she decided to step up and become her brother Pietro’s second mother. She had the responsibility of keeping him in line and give him the love that a mother would give to her son. She did this so effortlessly and he couldn’t be more thankful. She loved her family endlessly. Family dinners, gatherings and simple conversations would always put a smile on her face. Her favourite person was her wonderful husband, Wayne. They were the perfect match. If they could do it all over again, they would choose each other in a heartbeat. She was a devoted, loving, caring and selfless wife; she will forever be loved and missed.
The family would like to thank Jenny and Ray Picard for their compassion, care and support throughout Anna’s illness. They could not have done it without the both of you. A special thank you to the TDH-Oncology department and Dr. Bonilla for all that you have done for Anna.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 12pm (noon) to 1:45pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2pm in the funeral chapel followed by a reception in the Lessard-Stephens Reception Center. The interment will take place at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Ovarian Cancer Canada or the TDH-Oncology department would be greatly appreciated.
