After a long and happy life dedicated to her family, Anna passed peacefully on July 24, 2024. Loving wife of William J. Fisher for 68 years. Devoted Mom of Mary Fisher, William (Deanna) Fisher, Anne (John) Rometty, and John Fisher. Proud Grandma of Katelyn (Andy) Dennis, Meagan (Kenny) Crocker, Amy (Rob) Zakhour, Julie (Blaine) Rothrock, Jack Rometty and Will McLaughlin. Predeceased by her brother Nick (Opal) Belawetz. She will also be missed by extended family and friends.
Before Anna started her family, she worked as a Lab Technician for Red Cross. Later in life she was a dedicated volunteer for the Windsor Art Gallery and a longtime active member at Beach Grove Golf and Country Club.
Anna was a lovely lady of style and grace. She was “bougie” before it became a thing. Mom was fiercely independent until the end and she and Dad lived a wonderful life together. Special thanks to the staff of Amica and Amy’s Helping Hands for assisting mom in continuing her independence and going above and beyond with their loving care. We would also like to thank the staff at WRH – Metropolitan Campus (4 West) for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna may be made to Transition to Betterness.
Visitation will take place at Families First Funeral Home in East Windsor (1065 Lauzon Rd. 519-969-5841) on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4 – 7 pm with parish prayers at 6:30 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Church in Tecumseh on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
