Anita Genge
Passed peacefully at her home in St. Joseph’s, St. Mary’s Bay, Anita Genge (nee Stamp), aged 78 years.
She is reunited with her husband and love of her life, Edmund. Predeceased as well by her parents William & Rose Stamp and her brother Anthony Stamp. (NEW: Click on bolded name to view each obituary)
Leaving to celebrate her life, sons Mark (Deanne) and Glenn, daughters Noreen (Trevor) and Natasha; beloved grandchildren: Jordan, Joshua, Matthew, Damon, Leah, Carson, Abby and Kalea; much loved siblings: Marion White, Phyllis Churchill and Gordon Stamp. Also left with wonderful memories of Anita are a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thanks to Gloria White, Violet, Michelle and Candace who took such wonderful care of Mom during the past several weeks.
Mom was a nurse by nature and by heart. She loved to help people in their time of need and took great pride in being able to care for others. She was a faithful Catholic who loved her church community and she found peace and comfort in her St. Joseph’s Parish. She was a woman who spoke her mind and loved to share her opinion, especially if she could convince you that her opinion was correct! Her mind was kept sharp as she loved to read and complete puzzles in her spare time. She loved watching her flower garden grow and the sunsets go down on the horizon. She was so very proud of her sons and daughters, but “Nanny” was probably her favorite title. How she adored each of her grandchildren and loved to share stories with them and give them treats for every occasion. How proud she was of all of them as they grew into young adults. The loss of Anita will be felt by many.
Resting at the Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph’s (Church), on Wednesday, April 26, from 1 – 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 27, at 11am, at St. Joseph’s Church. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, O’Donnells. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Good Shepherd Parish, in care of the family by emailing Noreen at ntdstewart@yahoo.com
