It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest mom Angela (Odorico) on August 19, 2024 at the age of 73. She will be reunited with her beloved husband and best friend Tullio who passed away just 8 weeks ago.
Cherished and loved mom to Karen(Rob) and Dwight.
Angela was born in Italy and came to Canada as a baby. She grew up in Burlington and Windsor. She met Tullio and started a family. She was a stay at home mom and worked part time until her children were in school full time. She had a long and successful career working at Halton Region in Oakville where she formed many deep and lasting friendships.
Angela was known for her compassion, kindness and patience for others.
She was always available to lend an ear if necessary. Anyone who would come for a visit was always fed.
She was know for making the best lemon cake, lasagna, pasta sauce and other dishes.
Angela will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Especially her travelling companion and good friend Nancy.
A special thank you to Dr. Lee and Dr. Wu and nurses Melissa, Sara, Julia, Amy, Zyra and Assunta at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Dr. Merali , Karolina and all the nurses at Trillium Hospital Queensway.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 3 – 5 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m., where the Funeral Prayers will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brain Cancer Canada or Trillium Health Partners Foundation
