Obituary
Passed away at Health Science North in Sudbury on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, surrounded by love.
Angela was the beloved wife and partner of Stephen Hurrell for over 30 years, and the loving mother to her fur babies Jeannie and Mickey. She was the loving daughter of Noella and the late Ronald Gauthier; sister to Joanne Hansell (Gauthier) and Roger Roy (June); godmother to Jolene Hansell; and “Auntie Angie” to many nieces and nephews.
Angie’s energy for life was contagious. She loved gardening, made the best cookies, and would almost always beat you in a game of cards. Angie especially loved music. She met Steve playing the keyboard in a band back in the 80s, knew all the words to every Celine Dion song, and loved to sing along to a good country song.
Angie loved being outdoors and going camping. And she loved a good adventure out in the bush in the side-by-side.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of the many people she touched during her 60 years on this earth.
In keeping with Angela’s wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at St. Thomas D’Aquin Cemetery during a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Society of Canada.
