Andrew Sampson Obituary
Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the age of 87 years. Andrew was the beloved spouse of Diane (nee Robertson) Sampson and the loving father to Shane Sampson (Kathy Boissonneault), and the late Andy Sampson Jr. He was the cherished grandfather to Sheena, Chad and great-grandfather to Tyler and Jorden. Andrew was the loving brother to the late Gilbert, late Steve, late Leo Sampson, and late Rose Carrier. He is predeceased by his parents Jeremiah Sampson and Odila (nee Piché). The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Leckie and the staff on 3D and 3B, especially Angus and Blessy at the North Bay Regional Health Care Centre for their care and compassion during this time. The family would also like to express a special thank you to the Haskett family, Labrecque family, Robertson family and the Savarie family for all of their support and kindness over the years. As per Andrew’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will occur at a later date. If desired, donations to the Friends of the Bonfield Library would be gratefully acknowledged by Andrew’s family.
