Peacefully at Lee Manor in Owen Sound, Ontario on Saturday, January 7, 2023, Leonard Allan Taylor from north of Shallow Lake. He was 85 years of age.
Dearly loved husband of Joyce Taylor (née Byers) for 58 years. Loving dad to Louise (Stephen Lau) and Ann (Harold Jackson), all of Tara. Proud papa to Emmett, Hope, and Scarlett Jackson. Dear brother of Helen Cook (Jim) of Kilsyth and Harold Taylor (Lana) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Marjorie Taylor, his stepmother Etta Pembroke, his parents-in-law Ed and Mildred Byers, and his infant older brother, Adam Taylor. Also predeceased by his in-laws Ray and Joan Byers, Doris and Irwin Scott, Margaret Robertson, Keith Byers, and Donna Moran.
Allan is fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as his neighbours in the Shouldice Community north of Shallow Lake, where he farmed first with his parents, then with Joyce after their marriage in 1964.
There will be a service to honour Allan’s life, at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Cremation has taken place.
