Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the Major family announce the passing of their beautiful and loving matriarch Aline Major on January 30th, 2023 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. She was in her 87th year. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Aline leaves behind her beloved husband of 69 years Raymond Major (surviving). As well , she leaves behind her much loved children, Bonnie Bon (Dave), Joanne Forbes (Don), Joyce Boudreau (Allan ), Richard Major( Cheryl ), Ronald Major (Julie ), Gerald Major ( Lori ).
Grandma Major will be sadly missed by her 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren whom she loved very much and brought her great joy. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces nephews and family friends. Aline was predeceased by her parents Jean-Allain and Aurore (Dubois) Desrosiers and her in-laws Donat and Pamela ( Gareau) Major. Aline was also predeceased by her siblings Jacqueline Desrosiers, Jean -Marc Desrosiers(Louise Boutin, surviving) and Rena Desrosiers. Mom loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mom and Dad loved country music and together they would sing to the songs that they loved from their sirius radio stations . They were truly in love. Dad will miss her terribly. Mom loved camping ,fishing, gardening and especially baking and playing cards with the grandchildren.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother , grandmother, great grandmother that devoted her life to her family. She made everyone she loved feel special. Although she is no longer here with us in body, she will forever live on in our hearts . We can feel her wonderful spirit around us and we know that she is watching over us from above . With heavy hearts we will carry on without you and we will remain a close , loving and supportive family as you wanted us to. We will always love and miss you. Company Heaven has gained another precious angel. Spread your wings Mom and fly high in the sky. We would like to thank the paramedics, Emergency team and the staff in C.C.U for their care and compassion at a difficult time. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the PSWS and Community Care Workers that helped care for Mom over the last few years. She thought the world of all of you. As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
