It is with great sorrow that the family announces Alice’s passing in Sudbury, on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the age of 64 years.
Dear daughter of Verna and the late Zane “Coyote” Nootchtai. Loving sister to Joan Nootchtai (Dave) and son Shawn, siblings Donna, Virginia, Sheila- Shorty, Floyd, Garnett and David (all predeceased).
Cherished Mother of Lizz Nootchtai- (Barb) children; Tinika, Safiyyah, Junior, Zack, Tony, Nelson, Meadow and Loki.
Kriss Nootchtai- (Richard) children; Danyka, Damian and Dylan. Kevin Nootchtai child Vanessa.
April- (Mel) children; Courtney and April.
Angela children; Riley, Callie, Crazyhorse and Waasnoode.
Brian Neudert- Nootchtai and children and “David” (both predeceased).
She will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, relatives, friends and special friend Willard Boucher.
The family would like to thank everyone at Extendicare York for all their compassion and care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek Community Centre, 37 Reserve Road, Naughton, ON, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 after 1 p.m. Traditional Funeral Service on Thursday March 2, 2023 at 11:30 a.m., Sacred Fire burning at the children’s home will be moved to the Teaching lodge in Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. Community feast will be immediately after service with cremation to follow at a later date.
