Kniesz, J. Albert
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton at the age of 92 years.
Albert Kniesz of Milverton, formerly of Brunner, was the faithful husband of the late Beatrice (Stahlke) Kniesz (December 8, 2022) for over 67 years. Devoted father of Jenny Baldwin (Phil), Peggy Kipfer (Ron), and Liz Schmidt (Paul). Dearly loved grandfather of Sean, Tessa, and Liam Baldwin; Scott Kipfer (Susanna), and Becky Steckly; Nicole and Evan Schmidt, and great-grandfather of Danica and Tessa Steckly. Survived by sisters-in-law Florence Beuermann, Marg Stahlke and Kathleen Stahlke.
Predeceased by his parents John and Rosina (Klein) Kniesz, and brothers-in-law Bill Stahlke and Bert Stahlke.
Albert was a proud father, and a hardworking beef farmer. He was a good steward of the land, farming in Ellice Township and working for the MTO until his retirement. He took pride in restoring antique cars, tractors and farm equipment. He enjoyed time with his friends of the North Easthope Tractor Club, attending car shows, playing cards, traveling, and spending post-retirement winters in Arizona.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2022 at the Perth East Recreation Complex, 40 Temperance St., Milverton. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2022 at the PERC with a reception to follow. Private family interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Milverton.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Knollcrest Lodge Courtyard Fund would be appreciated and can be made through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
