Peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on December 3, 2024 aged 86. Predeceased by beloved wife of 49 years Joanne (Leis, 2016), caring father to Cyndi Moyer (2017, Jonathan), Lizann, Rénee Dawn (1968), Walter, Greg (Tammy). Cherished Papa or Opa to Joshua, Alaynna, Daniel, Tavish, and Macie. Loving uncle of Kimberly, Shawn, Juliane, Trevor (2021), and other nieces and nephews. Loved brother and in-law to Freida (John, both 2014), Ruth (Nick, 2016), Irmgard (Ken), and Colleen (Ron, 2020). Many loved ones will greet him at heaven’s gate.
Guests received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 12 P.M. A short reception will follow in the lounge.
In lieu of flowers, and as tribute to the outstanding care he and other family have received, donations may be given to the Royal Victoria Foundation.
