It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Albert George Abbott of Little Harbour announces his passing. Albert passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the age of 87.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his daughter, Pauline Baker (Barry) of Little Harbour; sons, Jim Abbott (Loretta) of Little Harbour and Merrill Abbott (Sue Nelson) of Little Bay East; 6 grandchildren, Corey Abbott (Leslie), Greg Abbott (Jessica), Lindsay Abbott (Brad), Perry Abbott (Courtney), Anthony Abbott (Jacqueline) and Nathan Baker (Jessica); 9 great-grandchildren, Faith, Megan, Luke, Emma, Georgia, Ellie, Brock, Brooklyn and Jack; sister, Margaret Pardy of Marystown; brothers-in-law, Cecil Barnes of Ontario, Bill Wells (Lucy) of Harbour Breton, Reg Dodge (Nora) of Rushoon and Jerry Dodge of Marystown; sisters-in-law, Betty Herridge (Gordon) of Grand Bank, Bernice Miller of Grand Bank, Vida Benoite of Burgeo, Charity Benoite of Burgeo, Martha Saunders (Sam) of Brookside, Sue Couture (Jean) of Nova Scotia and Diane Donaldson (Will) of Codroy Valley; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Albert was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Abbott; parents, James & Violet Abbott; sister, Francis Barnes; parents-in-law, Reginald Wells and Laura Dodge; and brothers-in-law, Merrill Pardy, Philip Benoite, Sidney Benoite and Maxwell Miller.
The Abbott Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on:
Sunday, May 26th
2pm – 5pm
A funeral service will take place at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on:
Monday, May 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm.
Cremation to follow.
