It is with profound sadness that the family of Albert Boivin announce his passing at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday January 9th, 2023, at the age of 82. Cherished son of the late Vital and Mildred Boivin. Beloved husband and best friend for 53 years of Betty. Loving father of Sean Boivin and his partner Hope Prozorwicz of Corunna. Special Grandpa of Brennen, Jenna, Caterina (Jacob), Martin and Daeneina. Proud great Grandpa of 5. Dear brother of Ron Boivin and his wife Jan of Chatham, Marie Boivin of St. Catharines and Yvonne Boivin of Sudbury, and sister-in-law Marion Boivin of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother Bill. Albert was known for being an avid collector of many things and was according to Betty the “kindest and gentlest person she had ever met.” A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 14th, 2023, at 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home with celebrant Father John Jasica, family and friends are invited to attend the service and a time of fellowship that will follow the service. Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710. Cremation to follow with interment in Immaculée Conception Cemetery, Pain Court at a later date Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
