It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father at Juravinski Hospital on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the age of 90. Devoted husband of Maureen Bochsler (nee Ford) for 58 years. His journey in this world as a devout Catholic and member of the St. Ann Community has now come to an end. Albert was a deeply spiritual man who had a close relationship with God. Albert is now reunited with his parents, Thomas and Maria Bochsler, his brothers, Joseph (Joan), Oscar (Marion), Art, and his sister Lucy (Al). He is predeceased by many loving in-laws. Treasured father of: Mark (Sandra), Colleen Forte (Terry), Paul, David, Kathleen (Dave), Kevin (Alison). Adored Granddaddy of: Amelia, Noah, Christopher, Beetle, Liam, Lucas, Jakob, Jaden, Carter, Kylie, Nolan and Ryan. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Tom and Doreen Bochsler, his cousin Lizabeth (Edi) Gmür of Switzerland, his sister-in-law Nora Corsini (the late Rudy) his brother and sister-in-law Mike and Karen Ford and dozens and dozens of loving nieces and nephews. He worked for many years as a professional photographer. He was a successful businessman and entrepreneur, owning and operating Albert Bochsler Photography, specializing in wedding and forensic photography. He was devoted to his family. We will miss his incredible hugs, his wide knowledge base, quirky sense of humour, his generosity of spirit, his wisdom, compassion and kindness. The family wishes to acknowledge the incredible kindness and compassion of the staff on 3B at Juravinski Hospital. Visitors will be received at P.X Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Parish, 11 Wilson Street West, Ancaster on Friday, November 29th at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Hamilton Food Bank in memory of Albert.
