Obituary of Adrian Beddow Sr.
The death of Adrian Beddow Sr. of Grand Bay-Westfield occurred on September 7, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born January 24, 1942, in Cape Breton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Doris (Snow) Beddow and beloved husband of 61 years to Margaret (Dobson).
Adrian lived in Grand Bay-Westfield for 55 years of his life. For anyone who knew him, you probably remember seeing him and his “sidekick” Jamie, sitting in the Tim Horton’s parking lot in the “Green 1992 Ford Truck or silver car”, enjoying a coffee and waving and chatting to many friends and acquaintances.
Adrian is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Margaret; children: Margie Rolston (Jamie) of Kitchener, ON, Adrian Jr. (Donna) of Kitchener, ON; Mark (Farida) of Dundalk, ON, Melinda McIvor (Doug) of Saint John, NB; and his “partner in crime”, Jamie, of Grand Bay-Westfield; five granddaughters: Brenda, Bobbie, Mary, Stephanie, and Brittney; his last surviving sibling, Liam (Sharon) of Grand Bay-Westfield; as well as many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). In keeping with Adrian’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 2:30 pm.
