Obituary
Adriana Kramer (nee Emmerzaal) died peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Southbridge Long Term Care Centre in Owen Sound at the age of 96. Born in den Haag, the Netherlands, on September 5, 1926, she is predeceased by her husband, Louwe Kramer, in 1982. Adriana is survived by her beloved daughters Leinie and Simon de Boer of Tara, and Janneke Kramer and Fawzy elKasrawi of Cairo, Egypt.
Oma will be missed by her grandchildren Adriana and Leen Muis, Dirk and Christina de Boer, Peter Story, Ria and Nathan Johnson, Laurens and Danielle de Boer, Annette de Boer and the late John (2022), Janine and Jake de Jong, Omar Hamdy, Selma Hamdy and Adam Atteya. Adriana was Great Oma to Anneke and Sam Muis, Caleb and James de Boer, Zachary and Makayla Johnson, Ben, Luke and Hannah de Boer, Lexi and Koen de Jong and Aida Atteya.
Remembered by her siblings and their children Koos (predeceased) and Cor Emmerzaal, Miep and Klaas van Dyk (both predeceased) and Coby and John van Bendegem (predeceased).
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Fred Veenstra for his wonderful care over the past 21 years our Mother/Oma lived in Canada. Thank you as well to the staff of Central Place, where she called home for 5 years and to the staff and Southbridge where she happily lived for the past half-year.
A funeral service to remember Adriana’s life will be held at the Owen Sound First Christian Reformed Church, 201 4th Ave. W., Owen Sound, on Saturday, August 12th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon and time for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Timothy Christian School or a charity of your choice are appreciated.
