Adelle was the first born child of Evelyn and Ferdinand Vallaster in what would soon be a family of 5 children. Her early childhood was spent in several communities across the province. Her first year as a newborn was on a fox farm in the Kelowna area, then on to a dairy farm in Cloverdale, and then to yet another dairy in the Oyama area, and then back to Vernon where she spent several years living above the family owned Little Gem Café with her siblings. The family was then off to Armstrong and finally back to Vernon where she completed her high school education.
Following her passion for Art and Design, Adelle moved across the country to Toronto where she studied Art and Interior Design at the Ryerson Institute. That education later led to teaching positions in several school districts in the province before discovering her true calling, helping people realize their best selves through nutrition, meditation and exercise.
Her beloved sister Diane later joined her in owning several successive nutrition centers in Kamloops over the years. Adelle’s endless curiosity and commitment to lifelong learning led her to study under mentors Dr. Walker and later Dr. Black among others.
The two sisters could often be seen vigorously navigating the streets and hills of Kamloops as they embodied the principles they passionately believed in – keeping fit and centered.
She leaves behind her loving younger siblings, many nieces and nephews and her legacy of compassion, wisdom and wellness. She will be missed.
