Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ada White at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 in her 89th year.
Ada was predeceased by: her husband Hubert; son Bruce, parents: Francis and Margaret White; parents-in-law: John and Clara White.
She leaves to mourn her three grandchildren: Shannon (James), Dennis (Dianne) and Bruce (Janelle) all of Ontario. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Victoria, Jamie, Grace and her special niece Valerie Alexander of whom lovingly handled her personal affairs for the past several years. Ada also leaves to mourn her daughter-in-law Paula White as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. A special mention and thank-you to her personal shopper Margaret.
The family would like to thank the staff the Acadian Village who took loving care of Ada and made her part of their family as well as her special friends at the home whom she loved dearly.
Ada was also predeceased by all her siblings: Ambrose, Archie, Walter, Phyllis, Angela, Elizabeth, Annie and Johanna.
As per Ada’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at St. Stephen’s Parish, Stephenville on Monday, August 7th, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hanson Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Acadian Village, Stephenville, NL.
