Suddenly, at home on January 21, 2024, in his seventy-ninth year. Beloved husband of Marlene Blau for fifty-five years. Loving father and father-in-law of Jason and Mindy, Jodie and Fernando. Proud and adoring Zaidie of Emily, and Ethan; Manny, and Brady. Son of the late Frank and the late Sadie Haupt. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Max and Elaine Haupt, and Larry Haupt; and special brother-in-law of Dr. Michael and Dianne Blau. Abie will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family, devoted friends, and the “boys from Chabanel”. The family would like to acknowledge with sincerest gratitude Dr. Sarit Assouline and Donna for their exceptional care and devotionover many years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, January 24 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at 1500 Todd St., Saint-Laurent, in the reception room (ring 222), Wednesday following burial until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Evening services at 7:30 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Cancer Research c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.
