Martin Dale Sappier of Woodstock First Nation passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home on Woodstock First Nation, NB. Known as Dale, he was born in Woodstock, NB on June 6, 1957 to the late Martin and Margaret (Smith) Sappier.
Dale is survived by his 5 daughters, Heather Sappier, Beverly Sappier, Jessica Robin Sappier, Sandra Sappier and Emma Rae Sappier-Dodge.
His sister. Jacqueline (Sappier) Wilson and his brother, Arthur Sappier.
His seven grandchildren Christina, Rhian, Autumn, Kaleb, Summer, Kainen and
Mahkai.
Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Wanetta Hall, Viola Vandijk, Albert Sappier and James Sappier.
At Dale’s request there will be no services at this time. His wishes were to have a celebration of life at a later date that was convenient for family and friends to gather and remember his life.
He was an advocate for his children when in need. He loved his race cars and his dogs. The best pickle maker!
He had a special appreciation for his Chief, Tim Paul, who was also one of his close friends.
He will be missed by many.
