Obituary
Addie Louise “Dolly” Brannen, loving mother & grandmother, passed away peacefully at Roseway Manor on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the age of 85, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Edward & Addie (Smith) Atkinson.
She was a member of the UCW (United Church Women) and attended the Smithville United Church where she played the organ for many years. She was a member of the Former Rebekah Lodge # 35, I.O.O.F where she held different offices over the years. Dolly loved playing Bingo and pulling her crisscross tickets. In earlier years, she enjoyed curling and bowling.
Dolly is survived by her husband, Prince Bernard Brannen, daughters, Sandra, Cheryl, Stephanie Burgess (Wally); grandchildren, Tracey, Chasity, Amanda, Bernard, Danielle, Katherine & Rebecca; great grandchildren, Kennedy, Ethan, Hannah, Quade, Asher: Asher, the youngest was the apple of her eye. She couldn’t wait to see him one visit to the next. She was always asking when Asher was coming in; sister, Ruby Sears, many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Dolly was predeceased by a daughter at birth, siblings, Marshall, Harold, Clinton, Addison, Frances, Sheldon, Percy, Alvin, Ronald, Leslie, Isaline and a half brother, Vincent Worthen.
The family would like to thank Dr. Riley, nurses, workers & staff for the wonderful care that she received at Roseway Manor.
