COLMAN, Brigitta Millanie (nee Bogaert) (January 30, 1920 – March 31, 2023)
Passed away, peacefully, after a long and fulfilling life, Brigitta Millanie (nee Bogaert) Colman, a resident of Caressant Care, Courtland and formerly of Tillsonburg and Delhi, on March 31st, 2023, in her 104th year. Brigitta was born in Belgium. She farmed tobacco in the Delhi area with her late husband Regulus ‘Forent’ Colman (July 18, 1976). Brigitta moved to Tillsonburg in 1992, where she became a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church and the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League, Tillsonburg. She was also a past member of the Langton Jolly Makers. Brigitta is survived by her son Roger Colman and daughter-in-law Margaret (nee Newman) Colman, of Putnam. Always a caring grandmother to David (Deanna) Colman, of London and Cindy (John Steel), of Airdrie, Alberta. Special great-grandmother to Cassandra Ratelle, Rachael Allen, Stephanie Coleman, and Sitara Steel. Also a very proud great-great grandmother to Rachael’s daughters Riley and Teagan. Brigitta is survived by her sister Elizabeth Brock, of Belgium, as well as by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her son Willy Colman (1940) and by her sister Angela De Calway.
Relatives, friends, and neighbours are welcomed to attend a public graveside service on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Tillsonburg Cemetery, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John, of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg.
