Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Albert O’Mahony Manor, Clarenville on Thursday, March 16, 2023, Reginald William Simmons, age 92 of Robinson Bight, Random Island.
Predeceased by his wife Delphine; daughter, Sandra; parents, Abner and Pearl; sisters, Lilah (George Blundell); Jean (Cecil Mills), Bertha (Kevin Smith), Flora (George Patey); brothers, Ralph (Clemmie), Harold (Edna), Wilfred; brother-in-law, William Pittman.
Leaving to mourn are his sons, Ernest (Maisie), Randy (Barbara), Roger (Lori), Rick (Sheila); daughters, Vera (Lawrence), Bernice (Enos), Linda , Cavelle (Jerry), Christine (Brian), Corrine (Rick); 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; sister, Elsie; sister-in-law, Wanda (Gar); special friend for 21 years, Una Critch as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Resting at Vardy’s Funeral Home, Hickman’s Harbour. Public visitation on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral service to be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 @ 2 pm from the United Church, Hickman’s Harbour with internment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Lance Cove. Service to be officiated by Major Cecil Mitchell.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of the Dr. Albert O’Mahony Manor Memorial Manor as well as the Golden Heights Manor for their kindness and care during his stay.In hhis memory donations may be made to the Dr. O’Mahony Memorial Manor, Clarenville.
