At West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, surrounded by family on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at the age of 100 years. Wife of the late Nicola. Loving mother of Maria (deceased) & Domenico Rulli, Anna & Salvatore (Sam) D’Angelo (both deceased), and Giuseppe (Joe). Sister of the late Donato (Rocco) & Emilia DiCarlo, Anna & Emidio D’Urbano. Nonna to Angela & Mark, Mary, Tony & Nancy, Aldo & Michelle, and Gino & Cinthia. Bisnonna to 8 grandchildren. Also will be remembered by numerous nieces & nephews.
To Lucia her family was everything. Lucia was strong and faced hardships, including living in Italy during WWII and immigrating to Canada with very little and not knowing the language. Lucia and her husband successfully raised a family. She will be remembered as a strong, kind and loving woman. She will be dearly missed. A special thanks to the staff at West Haldimand General Hospital for their care and compassion.
The family will honour her life with visitation at the Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Evening Prayers at 6:30 pm. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Hagersville on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11 am. Interment Hagersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Haldimand General Hospital Foundation or Canadian Diabetes. www.rhbanderson.com
