Obituary
Passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, Jeff Mercer, of Blaketown, aged 64 years.
Predeceased by his parents Eileen and Robert Mercer
Leaving to mourn his loving son Lance (Amy); grandchildren Ella and Nolan; sisters Debbie (Scott), Donna (June), Jean (Bill), Patricia and Bonnie; brothers Barry, Bob (Ivy), Wayne (Karen); as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Jeff was a lover of the great outdoors, he would spend countless hours cutting wood, trouting, ice fishing, and hunting. One of his most memorable days is the day he caught surely the largest trout to ever be caught from Blaketown Pond. His words were, and I quote » I half a mind to keep him in my bathtub». Jeff was a carpenter, and a fantastic one at that. There’s nothing he couldn’t do when it came to carpentry, and anything he touched was done to perfection. He will be profoundly missed by all that knew him. His memory will live on through the stories and memories we share.
Cremation has taken place.

Think of how he must be wishing that we could know today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of him as living in the hearts he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much»
