The death occurred peacefully and with family by his side at the Souris Hospital on Monday, December 23, 2024, of Emeric Henry Holland. Born on April 25, 1941, he was aged 83 years of Souris Line Road, PE.
Emeric is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years of Helen (nee MacPhee) and will be forever loved by their children Tracy (Colin Galway), Troy (Heidi) and Trudy Holland. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandsons Adam, Carson, Logan, Morgan, and Cameron. In addition, he is survived by his sister Joyce (David Perry).
Predeceased by his parents James and Laura and son Roger and his brothers Willie (Elenor) George B (Cecile) and Artie (Bunny)
Emeric was a very hard-working man, you could see him smiling at the shore buying fish, or trucking potatoes and asphalt. He loved working in the woods, and he was always willing to help out with his grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff of Souris hospital for their excellent care they have provided.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 2:00pm with interment to follow in the church cemetery. If so desired, donation in memory of Emeric can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital) or the St Mary’s Cemetery Fund.
