Obituary of Sharron Dianne Duff
DUFF, Sharron Dianne (Kearns)—Age 77 of Williamswood, It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, Sharron Dianne (Kearns) Duff, who passed away at the QEII Halifax Infirmary on December 18th, 2024.
Born May 24, 1947, Sharron was the proud only daughter of the late Evelyn (McCarthy) and Arthur Kearns. She grew up in Jollimore. In 1968, she married James Duff and moved to Spryfield, Harrietsfield, before finally settling in their forever home in Williamswood.
Sharron has worked at several places over the years, including Sears warehouse, Sears call center, Superstore, and No Frills, and made many friends along the way.
A selfless devoted wife, mother, and animal lover is what best describes her legacy and the memories that will live on in her children.
Sharron loved to spend time at home with her cats watching “her” shows, reading, and having a cup of tea in the kitchen while watching the birds and the squirrels in the backyard. No animal, bird, or bug would be harmed if she could help it. She was also very proud of her three grandchildren and was always glad to spend time with them.
Sharron is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Tracy (Tom Nickelson), Williamswood; son, Jamie (Jennifer Benoit), Afton; three grandchildren, Shara Duff, Robin Nickelson, and AJ Duff; her brothers, Bradley (Susan) Kearns, Kipling Saskatchewan, and Gerald (Avril) Kearns, Jollimore; sister-in-law’s, Vilena (Ed) Walker, Orangeville Ontario, Janet (Chuck) Rafuse, Porters Lake, and Debbie (Clyde) Billard, Spryfield. Sharron was predeceased by her husband James; sister-in-law, Linda Duff.
Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. In keeping with Sharron’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
