In loving memory of William Grainger of Hanmer Ontario, originally of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Loving husband of Ann Grainger (nee Murray, predeceased) and companion and friend of many years, Cecile Mainville and her very large, welcoming, loving family.
He is survived by four children, Rosemary, William, Paul and Thomas, grandchildren Morgan, Nathan, Cagney and Josh and brother and sister Frederick and Evelyn respectively. There are many friends and adopted family too numerous to mention that loved and respected Bill, as he was known, for his honesty, integrity and loyalty to family and friends.
He was always willing to lend a helping hand whether it was shoveling a driveway or rewiring a lamp. He loved tinkering with cars, ice fishing, spending time with the grand kids of his extended family, talking on the phone with his kids, woodworking and spending time with Cecile at the camp, his home away from home. There never was a problem too big or a job too small that he wouldn’t give 100% effort with a belief that if it was worth doing, it would be done right the first time. He will be sorely missed by us all.
Memorial Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home in Hanmer/Capreol Chapel at 460 Michelle Drive, Hanmer. Saturday December 28th, 2024, at 2pm. Friends may call after 1pm Saturday.
Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
