The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Wayne Lyle Higgs. He peacefully passed away in his family home on December 7th, 2024.
Wayne is survived by his devoted children; Kim Higgs, Shelley (Aaron) Gathmann and Tammy (Dave) Fetterley.
Son of the late Ralph and Mossie Higgs.
Brother of the late Glendon Higgs.
Wayne was filled with pride as he watched his grandchildren grow and thrive. Their presence in his life brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He wished them nothing but the best in life.
This loss will deeply affect many family members and friends. The outpouring of love and tributes for him is a testament to the immense joy and happiness he brought to everyone who knew him.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the healthcare staff who provided care over the years, ensuring that Wayne remained in the comfort of his own home.
A reception will be held at Mitchell Funeral Home (15 High Street, Huntsville) on Saturday December 14th, 1:00-3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
