Rocco, 64, of McKellar passed away on March 7th in Parry Sound, awaiting a liver and kidney transplant.
He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Catherine Vecchione. His son Michael Vecchione and daughter Alicia Wood (Jordan) along with extended family and friends. Rocco was predeceased by his parents Rosa and Giuseppe Vecchione.
Rocco was born in a small town in Italy and moved to Canada when he was 7 years old. He enjoyed camping, sitting around the campfire, fishing and listening to The Boss, Bruce Springsteen. He also loved watching his favourite sports teams play, St. Louis Blues and The Minnesota Vikings.
Rocco truly loved to help other people. If a friend of his had a problem or needed help with something, he would do whatever he could to support them. He was incredibly generous and always wanted to make the people he loved happy. Whether it was making sure his kids had the best Christmas or bringing coffee to the nurses at the hospital, he found a lot of joy in giving.
