88 Years
A beautiful, gentle soul went to be with her Savior on November 17, 2024. Frieda was a very loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, caring supportive friend, “Happy Birthday” singer, prayer warrior for many. Christian faith, service, kindness and gentleness were the driving forces in all aspects of her life.
Frieda is survived by sister Mary and husband Don; brother Henry; sister Kathy and husband George; nieces Nadine and Christa; nephews Daryl and Tony; many special great-nieces and great-nephews; Rosthern, Prairie Meadow and Eigenheim Mennonite Church friends; and many Bartel and Dyck cousins in Canada and Germany.
Frieda was predeceased by her husband Ben; parents, Henry and Mary (Dyck) Bartel; step-mother Maria (Friesen) Bartel; and brothers Johnny, Peter, Jack.
Frieda’s Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Eigenheim Mennonite Church, 12 km west of Rosthern on highway 312. Interment will be held in the Eigenheim Cemetery. Pastor Rachel Wallace officiating. Lunch to follow.
Many women do noble things, but you (humbly) surpass them all….
A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring praise at the city gate.
