Lajeunesse, Erin (1978-2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Erin Lajeunesse, age 46, at home on Thursday November 14, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Erin will be sadly missed by her loving mother Marion Lajeunesse, her sister Andra Lajeunesse (Kurt) of Calgary, and her brother Chad Lajeunesse (Sophie) of Ottawa. Also left to mourn are her nieces and nephew, Jaylyn, Alexie and Sebastien, her Godparents Margaret and Robert Serrano, her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will also be missed by her friend and Special Needs Worker Helen Powley, who made Erin so happy. Erin was predeceased by her father Rejean Lajeunesse in November 2022. Erin enjoyed listening to music, watching Disney movies and going to concerts. She loved to travel, stay at hotels, and eat in restaurants. Erin thoroughly enjoyed attending her day programs at CTRC Living Skills and at CLT Vic Mahoney Centre where she had many friends. Many thanks to the staff who kept her engaged in many activities and put up with her mischievous side! Thanks also to the Access Better Living Respite Program workers Julie, Lori and Susan. Thank you to the Handi-trans office staff and especially the drivers for your professionalism and always showing up no matter what the weather conditions. Also, a big thanks to Dr Chris Clark, Amy, and to the Palliative care nurses Liz, Marnie, and Nancy. Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday November 18, 2024 in the chapel at Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (Deacon Michel Neron officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation – Emergency Department Fund Raiser would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday November 18, 2024 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
