Jean-Paul Paquette
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jean-Paul Paquette on November 5, 2024, at the age of 90. He was born July 19, 1934, in Timmins to Denis and Méa. He married Elizabeth Harris in 1956 and began their beautiful family. Jean-Paul was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, always filling the room with warmth and laughter. Known for his kindness, humility, and unwavering generosity, he was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend, and a helpful neighbour to all who knew him.
Jean-Paul is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Betty (nee Harris), and his cherished sister, Jacqueline Reid. He leaves behind his children, Judy Robinette (Leon), Pamela Sasseville (Dennis), Philip, and Heather (Bill), as well as his grandchildren, Neil Sasseville, Clinton Sasseville (Darquise), Stacy Dion (Eric), and Amy Robinette (Anthony). His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren: Melody, Jayden, Lycia, Méa, Chase, Colby, Bryce, Caleb, Kurtys, and Reginald; his great-great-grandchildren, Joyner and Caspian. Jean-Paul is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews, who remember him fondly.
Jean-Paul was a proud truck driver for Star Transfer, where he spent countless hours on the road and gathered many stories that he loved to share. Talking to people brought him joy, and his tales of hauling were cherished by all who had the pleasure of listening.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. In his memory, remembrance donations to the Alzheimer’s Society Ontario would be appreciated. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday November 10th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at MIRON-WILSON FUNRAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S, Timmins, ON
