Obituary of Karen Marchand
Born January 20, 1944. Passed away on March 2, 2023, “29 years old”. Beloved wife of Claude for 56 years. Loving mother to Renee and Dion Parent, Denise and Richard Zitko, Raymond and Beverly Marchand. Karen will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Dear sister to Janet and the late Bill Scott, the late Sheila Laramie, Jim and Pauline MacDonell and Christine MacDonell. Sister-in-law to the late Frederick and his wife Gail Marchand and George Marchand. Karen was a longstanding and devoted member of Holy Name of Mary Church and Our Lady of Assumption Church. She was active in her community and was always willing to lend a hand. PLEASE NOTE: Those attending the visitation or service, due to allergies the family requests SCENT FREE. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (South Location) 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7234) on Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Karen will then rest at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 2735 University Ave. West on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial tributes to the St Vincent DePaul Society would be appreciated by the family. www.windsorchapel.com
