It is with much sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Margaret Ethel Curtis, who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at her family home. She was born April 17, 1937, in McAdam NB, to the late Percy Edgar and Edna Victoria (Hunter) Pheeney and had no siblings.
She was a loving and devoted housewife to her husband, Ashley Henry Curtis from July 9, 1955, to February 11, 2021, on his passing.
Margaret is survived by her sons Richard, Ronnie and David and her daughters Debbie (Parker) and Vicky (Furrow).
Margaret, along with Ashley touched the hearts of so many lives, from their time curling (at the old rink) to traveling and camping and their winters in Florida. Margaret was a very talented crafter, seamstress and knitter, and fierce cribbage player.
She will be remembered by her children as the mother who kept everyone fed, clothed, educated, in time, and most importantly disciplined.
She will be greatly missed by her family, and her many friends and all those who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 4 at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville NB from 2 to 4 PM.
Interment will take place in the spring at McKenzie Corner Cemetery.
If so desired, donations can be made to Extra Mural.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Carleton Funeral Home
