Larry Leslie Obituary
It is with sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Lawrence Walter Leslie on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. Born in Saint John, on July 17, 1950; son of the late Percy and Mary (Brown) Leslie.
Larry was a true «South-Ender» for over 45 years. He took great pride in his job and was a member of the Quality Concrete family for over 40 years, he was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #946. In his later years, «THE DUDE», enjoyed being a mentor to many on the job. Above all, he loved his family and his friends.
Larry is survived by his brothers Stephen, Allison “Reid”; sisters Elizabeth Amazine Scott, Judith Ann Leslie and Jean MacKenzie; life-long sweetheart Dolores Francis; sister-in-law Patsy Pugh; grandchildren Kassie and Kaitlyn Costello, nieces and nephews, and special niece Denise Adams.
Along with his parents, Larry was predeceased by his son Robb Costello; sister Agnes Roche; brothers Barry, Frank and Percy; brothers-in-law Andrew MacKenzie, Charles Moore, Henry Scott and Réal Couillard.
Arrangements are under the care of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 from 2 pm – 8 pm. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed.
In lieu of flowers donations in Larry’s memory can be made to Romero House or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
