Peppler, Judy Ann (July 28, 1952 – October 6, 2024)
Greeted at the gates by the many cats and dogs that have gone before her and welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Judy (Mercer)(Abbott) Peppler passed away after a short battle with cancer in the early morning of October 6th, 2024. She was 72.
Judy was the much-loved daughter of Betty and Harry (2002) Mercer, of Houghton Township. She was and always will be their baby girl.
Judy had a passion for knitting, sewing and rescuing stray cats. She was a dedicated employee with Courtney’s Wholesale in London for 10 years, and with Universal Ignition for 12 years before she retired in 2017. When she lived in London, she was an avid bowler and when she moved to Houghton Township, she enjoyed being a part of the Hands of Grace Prayer Shawl group, Golden Links and the Houghton Fair Board.
Judy is missed and will be remembered by her mother, Betty Mercer; her children, Miranda (Jeremy) Sargent, Adam Abbott (Stephanie Noulty); her grandchildren, Jessica and Rachel who called her many things and among them, G-ma and Granna; twins, Keaton and Aurora who affectionately call her “O.G.” and give great backwards hugs and fist bumps. Judy is also missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Butch Mercer and Muriel McMahon of Markdale; Jim and Marilyn Mercer and Don Mercer of Houghton Township and her chosen brother David McCord and his wife Michelle of Pt. Burwell. She joins her infant brother David (1948) in Heaven. Judy will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their children.
